Harry Field is a retired chef and food services administrator with degrees and study areas in biology, botany, ecology, and theology. He was a professional chef in Santa Fe and Dallas before joining the Federal Bureau of Prisons where he served as a food service administrator for 26 years. After retiring in the Houston area, Harry began volunteering at New Horizons, a sheltered work environment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Caney, helping the organization establish a gardening program. In 2013, he joined the staff full-time and transitioned the gardening program to culinary herbs and later to medicinal herbs. New Horizons now offers 33 different teas as well as lotions and other products. A variety of teas will be available to taste and purchase. Come and join us for a fun and informative afternoon!
